School is slowly getting hectic. I just can feel the amount of workload slowly rising. But i told myself to be consistent, and hopefully i'm able to discipline myself :-)

I was rudely awaked by Nasz's call early in the morning. I was still in bed then. He started with, "we welcome westlife." In my grodgy state, I went "apelah b, kacau org pagi2..i want to sleep!" He ignored what i said and continued reading an article in today's Berita Harian. The one on westlife. As he went on, I heard my name mentioned. Straight away, I knew it was the interview I had with the journalist the other day. Yes, im shy to admit, im still a westlife fan..haha And she had to mention my full name in the article, me being a trainee teacher in NIE. Thank god i didnt have school today. At least by monday, when I return to campus, people will forget about the article and I wont be called "kental".. haha

Anw my lappie is well now. It's as good as brand new with a new battery supply. The old one had totally went dead, so its replaced with a new one. And its FOC. Let's hope it wont buat perangai anytime soon.

Today was movie day with Nasz. We caught our first Hindi movie at gv yishun..haha It feels good to step into yishun area cos it was like our second home a few years back since we both went to sch at yishun. Im glad the place didnt change alot. Anyways, the movie had a mixture of different elements. I admit I am not a fan of Hindi films, but if its something recommended, i don't mind watching. Was bloghopping the other day and the person mentioned watching this movie and its woth watching. So i told nasz, why not, for a change, watch hindi movie. Its worth our $8 on a 3 1/2 hr movie. Usually, it costs $9.50 during weekends. So funny, just when I thought the movie was going to be over, I looked at the time, and its just 5plus. We still have 1 1/2 more hours to go before it ends. I forgot abt the 'twist' every hindi films has..haha Nevertheless, the show was great. Nasz even say he wanted to get the vcd when its out. A hindi film junkie in the making..haha

After movie, we headed to lau pa sat to have our dinner. Its been ages since I last went there. We had satay, bbq prawns and sambal stringray. Food was yummylicious, but i think its kinda overpriced. Once in a while can eat there la. If i wanna have satay, i'd rather go to simpang bedok.

Well, we had a great date indeed. Traveling from the east to west to north to central singapore..haha

Went to school for a pathetic one hour lesson. Merepek kan.. My journey to and fro school already took up 4 hours leh. Such a waste of time. Nevertheless, i thought why not make gd use of the short day to head to NUS to get my laptop fixed. Boy do i miss NUS! Felt good to be back, familiar surroundings, eventhough I only went to the science faculty. Would love to go back to arts fac and just hang out there. That's because NIE does not provide that home-ly feeling, you see. It may be new but I still prefer the old and boring NUS..haha

Slept at 2.30am last night to get my assignment done which is due today. And it was completed last nite too. Yay! Such an accomplishment though I was very tired and sleepy. But I told myself, I either complete it last night or struggle to finish it by today. I'm just the kind who would rather get my assignment done a day before its due, come what may. So yah, last nite, after I came back from ita's bday celebration, I quickly got down to it with the help of a cup of coffee with whipped cream and caramel to keep me awake:-)

As mentioned, we went to swensens at Marina Sq to celebrate Ita's 22nd bday. All 8 of us. Earlier on, kisha, anuar, nasz and me had the fondue at chocz(cos the rest were late). I prefer the one at andersen's though. Following that, we had our dinner cum celebration at swensens.

So far, school is still manageable. Still trying to get used to the idea of travelling all the way to boon lay. It isn't that bad lately cos Intan will pick me up from kallang and off we go to NIE together. I simply love her nissan march!

Only had one lesson just now which ended at 12.30pm. Initially, I had nothing planned after that, but I asked Nasz if he wants to meet up though we went out the day before..hehe He agreed, though he actually plan to haf a day rest at home since its his off day. Thanks dear for the short notice date! =>

So, we decided to catch 'The Break Up" at PS. After school, I headed to PS to get the tickets first. Nasz met me a bit later after his friday prayers. To kill time, I decided to head to starbucks so I can rest(my legs were killing me!) and also read my module readings. Ordered myself fruit punch cos i had enough caffeine for the week. That's when one of the baristas started to get too friendly with me. Started off with "Oh, what do you do?" and "My name is Samir, and you are..?"(plus handshake) to "Say, would you like to go out for a cup of coffee sometime?" I was caught off guard. As much as I wanted to play along and gave sarcastic responses to his questions, I was just too tired. Remember, my aim was just to get a drink and sit. In the end, I just responded with "we'll see about that". I hope that's a subtle rejection la..haha After I sat down, I swear I just had my eyes fixed on my notes. In my heart, I was hoping that Nasz will come asap..but he only came an hour later..hehe
.
Well, the movie was ok. Something which most couples could relate to I guess. The stroyline touched on issues like how one should appreciate and not take the partner for granted. Simple things like doing the dishes and helping out each other doing the house chores. I like it when Jennifer Aniston said, "I don't want you to do the dishes. I want you to want to do the dishes." It simply means guys should take the initiative la, don't need to wait for the wife to ask wat. To me, these little2 gestures are important to maintain harmony in a r/s..So b, that's a hint2 for you there. Maybe you want to prepare yourself from now.. hehe
.
After the movie, we headed to swensens to have some ice-cream. Again, the spotlight was on me. No, the waiter didnt hit on me or anything this time around. I spilled the drinks la! How clumsy can I be rite? Thank god its just plain water and the couple sitting beside us were understanding. I apologised profusely to them..haha felt like covering up my face with a paperbag..haha

Oh yah, guess I'll be going to the Westlife concert after all. More on that in my next entry. Having mendaki tmr morning, so I better get some rest. Nite peeps!

Caught the fireworks yesterday from Marina Square. Yesterday's one was so much better than the one me and nasz caught at Marina Bay during the national day. Not forgetting, we had to walk all the way back to marina bay mrt after that cos the bus was so packed. According to nasz, that's a total of 7.2km walk!!

We reached marina sq around 8.15pm and the steps facing esplanade were almost filled up already. But we managed to squeeze our way through the crowd and picked a good spot to watch the fireworks. A full 15min firework display! Such a magnificient sight i tell you.

Actually I did not plan to go out yesterday. Since my student wasnt coming for tuition and the NIE portal also not working (I was thinking of doing my assignments), I thought might as well I go out. Furthermore, nasz was working morning shift, so he's free in the afternoon.

Told nasz I wanted to buy this thing which i've been eyeing for quite some time and we even went to the boutique yesterday. As usual, he wasn't supportive..haiz Everytime he's not supportive of what I want to buy, I'll think twice about getting it. But I told him, "I don't care ah..I'll save up more money and make sure I get it in two months' time!!" haha
.
Well, i better start on my assignment now so I can relax a bit later on..Enjoy the last bits of your weekends peeps~

I had an embarassing two seconds moment in the campus canteen just now. I actually tripped on the steps while going up and fell. Funny, how I cant stop laughing about it with Intan, until we had stitches in our abdomen. Intan assured me that no one saw what happen, especially no cute guys who witnessed the clumsy me..haha
.
Intan was telling me the exciting part of her story when I suddenly spoilt the momentum by tripping. Managed to grab her arms in time, if not, I would have injure my wrist.

Told her about what Ain said the other day if she was to see any of us fall. She would laugh first, then help..haha Thank god, I didnt fall in front of you Ain!
.
So yah, this entry is to share with you guys that I'm not always demure ok. I do have my not so glamor moments..wahaha

I'm home early today. Cos I skipped my Eng lecture..haha I know I should'nt be doing that since I'm being paid to attend lectures..blah3. But I have four hours break leh..so my friends and I decided to have our early lunch at JP and then head home. Furthermore, there's some crappy national day celebrations at the campus. Talk about patriotism :-p
.
Over lunch, we talked about some things which actually took me by surprise. Its not a bad surprise neither is it a good one. Knowing what some of my friends are going through made me realise how blessed I am to have an intact family.
.
Two of my girlfriends whom I got to know in NIE told me that they're actually living on their own. I mean if they meant staying in hostel, its normal la. But for their cases, it was due to family crisis. One of them, the father went through divorces and re-married thrice while the other one, her mum went MIA and her dad married a foreigner and migrated. And these two gfs of mine are on their own, either staying in a rented flat or the father left the house for her.
.
At ages as young as 22 and 24, they are independently supporting themselves. Now, I don't think their situation is as bad as last time, financially i mean, since they've started earning. But i cant imagine how they manage to cope in the past, with school and all. Despite of their dysfunctional family history, these friends of mine no "anak metropilitan" ok. In fact, one of them was from RGS and both just graduated from NUS, like me.
.
So, what I'm trying to say is that it's and eye-opener and something new for me to hear all these things happening in our community, what more within my circle of friends. But for their cases, hats off to them for standing where they are today, despite of their family complications.
.
Well, on a different note, I bought a new hp. Just when I said in the earlier entry that my old hp was in gd working condition, it started to buat hal pulak. So, i bought the nokia 6233. The functions are very user-friendly and I simply love the metallic silver and black body casing. Makes it look classy and elegant.. haha
.

Weekends are here. At least I get to wake up a bit later tmr since there is no Mendaki tuition due to the PSLE oral.

NIE has been pretty ok so far. Lessons have started though not all modules are being taught now. Like I mentioned before, I'm still sorting out my timetable. So far, I've only figured out my lessons till october. So leceh man.. Despite of the hectic schedule, I'm not complaining. The friends I got to know in NIE are sure to distract me from all those whining. Made a lot of new friends, especially those who took the same curriculm subjects as me.

I met up with Nasz thrice this week..hehe on Mon, Wed and just now. We're lucky cos we have three days with common free slots. Of course, we utilised those chances to meet up :-)
.
We talked about the good old times while having dinner just now. Not that things arent good now. In fact, its going great! But just to reminisce the past, back to the times when we knew of each others' existence and during the 'tackling' period, it sorta refresh our relationship. We laughed about the funny moments we experienced together and also realised how our '2 wks breather' became the turning point of our relationship. So yah, we hope to maintain like this for the longest time possible.

We watched Click just now. I thought it was a funny show but I cant help but to shed tears at one particular part. Shall not spoil it by saying what happen in that part, in case you guys wanna catch the show. I was trying very hard not to let the tears fall though my eyes were already getting blurry and warm. Nasz turned to me and ask, "Ler, nangis b?" haha.. I'll definitely keep in mind the moral of the story of the movie.

I just received my graduation photos which was taken while I was on stage, receiving the degree scroll. Turned out that I shut my eyes. Had a feeling that would happen..haiz so wasted seh
